Founder | DA.c, Dipl. Ac.
Dr. lyndsey cordova
Lyndsey Cordova is a licensed and board certified Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, functional medicine practitioner and the founder of Kōena. She was born and raised in Longmont, CO.
Lyndsey comes to eastern medicine from the Western biomedical field. Having been a surgical assistant for 16 years, she specialized in facial plastic surgery, ophthalmology and ENT/reconstructive surgery. She has thorough training in the anatomy and nerve pathways of the face and was fortunate enough to go through advanced training with a board certified ENT/ plastic surgeon. Her skills in the OR included advanced surgical skills like suturing, tissue dissection, incision making and injections.
While working in the OR, in 2016, Lyndsey became very sick, very fast. After 4 months and 6 MD visits, she still had no diagnosis. While going through that process, she turned to traditional Chinese medicine and functional medicine, desperate for relief. After her first acupuncture treatment, she slept through the night for the first time in weeks. A functional medicine practitioner accurately diagnosed her and her symptoms began to improve.
Lyndsey has always had a passion and deep understanding of the mind, body and soul connection. Combining the best of her biomedical training with her knowledge of TCM, she will provide an integrative, personal experience for all of her patients.
"My goal is to help people feel better. That's it. I want them to leave the clinic feeling refreshed and grounded, with their symptoms under control -- ready to take on their busy lives."
She earned her Master's degree in Acupuncture from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO and her Doctorate from Pacific College of Health and Sciences in San Diego, CA. She is currently finishing her functional medicine certification at The School of Applied Functional Medicine.
Lyndsey is a very proud mom to humans and doggos. She loves Colorado, her community and her family.
